Rent, light, water and staff run whether anybody is playing or not. Pickle Club puts the hours nobody has booked in front of players looking for a court tonight. You pay ₹2,000 a month for each court you list, and nothing at all on what those courts take.

why a flat fee

We charge rent for a listing, not a share of your takings. ₹2,000 per court per month, whether that court gets booked once or two hundred times.

A commission would mean we earn more in the month you had a good run, and that we are quietly a partner in every rupee crossing your desk. We would rather be a fixed cost you can do the arithmetic on before you sign up than a percentage you discover afterwards.

Here is that arithmetic. At ₹400 an hour, five bookings in a month covers a court's fee. Everything after the fifth is yours, and it stays yours in the month you are full — which is exactly the month a commission would cost you most.

It also means we never touch your money. Players pay you in cash at your desk, the way they would if they had phoned. There is no payout to wait for, nothing to reconcile, and no invoice from us that moves because your month did.

what happens when somebody books

  1. 1A player picks a court, a day and an hour, and confirms.
  2. 2The slot closes instantly. Nobody else can be sold the same hour on the same court — the database refuses it, not a background job that might be behind.
  3. 3They get an email with the venue, the court, the time and the amount, plus a calendar file. That email is what they show you.
  4. 4It appears on your console under today, with what to collect. They pay you at the desk, in cash, the way they would if they had phoned.

what we ask in return

  • Keep your hours and prices honest, so a player who turns up is not surprised.
  • Honour a booking, or decline it with a reason before the player leaves home.
  • Tell us if you sell the venue or stop running it, so the listing comes down.

Do I have to change how I take money?

No. Every booking is cash at your desk, at the price you set. We never touch the payment, so there is nothing to reconcile and no payout to wait for. The listing fee is billed separately and never comes out of a booking.

How and when do I pay?

We email you an invoice once your listing is live. There is no card on file, nothing is charged while a listing is in review, and billing stops the month you take it down.

What if the court is already taken when a booking comes in?

Block the hour in your console and it stops being bookable. If something has already been booked and you cannot honour it, decline it with a reason and the player is emailed straight away — before they drive over.

Will this fill my courts?

Not on its own, and not everywhere. Pickle Club is new, and in some areas there is nobody looking yet. Since you are paying for the listing, judge it by arithmetic rather than by our say-so: at ₹400 an hour, five bookings a month covers a court. If a court is not clearing that after a couple of months, take it down — you can do that yourself, from the console, without asking us or waiting out a contract.

Can I take it down?

Any time, from the console, without asking us — and billing stops with it. Take a single court offline for a repair, or the whole listing off the app. Your bookings and your history stay where they are.

Who else can see my numbers?

Nobody. Your bookings and takings are visible to you and to whoever you add as a manager. Players see your courts, your hours and your prices — never your revenue.

A court costs ₹2,000 a month to list and about three minutes to set up. Five bookings at ₹400 covers it. If it never clears that, take it down yourself — there is no contract to get out of.
